Aliya Cycon Project:
The "arabic-inspired" band, Aliya Cycon Project was formed in the Summer of 2014, at Berklee College of Music by 'oud player/pianist/singer Aliya Cycon. A life-long musician, Cycon discovered the beauty and allure of the 'oud when she travelled for a summer in the West Bank, Palestine.

Since that life-changing trip 4 years ago, Cycon has long held the goal of presenting the lilting charm of Arabic music, blended with her own style, to musical lovers of all genres. By elaborating on a melodic idea, which is the basic unit of Arabic music, ACP aims to salute the rich tradition and step just outside its colorful borders.

ACP released their debut album We Will Be Light in March 2015, and they have had the opportunity to play alongside major international artists like Vieux Farka Toure, Amir el-Saffar and Tony Vacca. Cycon has performed her arabic-inspired music in Palestine, Lebanon, Senegal, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

"...an alluring, shimmering dance between world-pop and traditional Arabic music. Her Arabic [oud] sometimes projects a palpable effervescence, other times an incisive ambiguity." - Downbeat Magazine

Naty Hernandez:
Singer-songwriter, guitarist, acoustic and electric bassist from the city of Medellín, Colombia. Naty Hernandez is an instrumentalist and musician of EAFIT University with an emphasis on jazz guitar. She is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Her music is a sonic journey of merging the rhythms from the Andean mountains in Colombia with jazz and sonorities from world music. She has toured different cities of Colombia as well as México, D.F. and Boston.

Her intention is to renew and support traditional music from Latin America so new generations can be part of it. In the last year she has shared the stage with great artists such as Marta Gómez and María Isabel Saavedra. She is currently one of the youngest members of the Colombian Andean music songwriters corporation ̈CANTANDINA ̈ with whom she has made numerous workshops and concerts. She has also cooperated in “The New Songbook of Andean Colombian Music” with her song “Chico de Nubes” highlighted as a new trend.
